Need Ultrasonic Leak Detector ! Because Leaks Won’t Find (Or Fix) Themselves
As margins get tighter and cost of manufacturing climbs, industries are looking into different areas to be more efficient. A big focus nowadays is in their compressed air system. Why is this? Manufacturers are starting to realize that it takes an abundant amount of electricity to make compressed air. That is why EXAIR manufactures compressed air products for optimization to get the best efficiency. But what many manufacturers don’t realize is that quiet little hissing sound from there compressed air lines is costing them much money. That is why EXAIR has the Ultrasonic Leak Detector.
When a leak occurs, it emits an ultrasonic noise. The EXAIR Ultrasonic Leak Detector can pick this up. It has a frequency range from 20 KHz to 100 KHz, above human hearing, so it can make the inaudible leaks, audible. With three sensitivity ranges and LED display, you can find very minute leaks. It comes with headphones and two attachments; the parabola attachment to find leaks up to 20 feet (6 meters) away, and the tube attachment for local proximity to define the exact location of the leak.

Larger 303SS Air Conveyor Converts Standard Pipe to Convey in Corrosive Environments
EXAIR’s new Type 303 Stainless Steel 2-1/2 NPT
Threaded Line Vac Air Operated Conveyors convert ordinary pipe into a powerful
conveying system for parts, scrap, trim and other bulk materials. They are
ideal for food, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical processes or areas likely
to be wet and corrosive which require the benefits of 303SS including excellent
chemical and corrosion resistance, performance in higher temperatures, long
service life and low maintenance. Their larger size makes them perfect for
conveying bigger parts and large volumes of material over long distances. The
Threaded Line Vac is designed to attach to standard plumbing pipe couplers,
making it easy to build a complete system using common pipe and fittings that
are readily available.
Threaded Line Vac Conveyors eject a small amount of
compressed air to produce a vacuum on one end with high output flows on the
other. Response is instantaneous and regulating the compressed air pressure
provides infinite control of the conveying rate. Applications include scrap
trim removal, material conveying, part transfer, fiber tensioning and filling
operations.

How Exair Air Nozzles Work
Air Nozzles use the Coanda effect to amplify compressed airflow up to 25 times or more. As illustrated on the right, compressed air (black arrows) is ejected through a series of nozzles on the outer perimeter. As the air travels along the outer wall of the nozzle, surrounding air (blue arrows) is entrained into the stream. The air stream that results is a high volume, high velocity blast of air at minimal consumption. The air is always ejected so it can vent safely, well below OSHA dead end pressure requirements, should the nozzle end be blocked.
Selecting The Right Air Nozzle
EXAIR manufactures a wide selection of Air Nozzles and Jets, which are divided into two groups. The first group includes Air Nozzles and Jets that deliver force up to 22 ounces (624 grams) and are suitable for most applications. The second group includes Air Nozzles that produce high force up to 23 lbs (10.43 kg) where additional reach and force are required.
- Type 303 Stainless Steel- high temperatures and corrosive environments. Max temp 800°F (426°C)
- Type 316 Stainless Steel- high temperatures, corrosive environments, and mechanical wear. Max temp 1000°F (538°C)
- Brass- general purpose applications. Max temp 400°F (204°C)
- Zinc aluminum alloy- general purpose applications. Max temp 250°F (121°C)
- PEEK- replaces metals in harsh environments. Off ers chemical resistance, non-marring. Max temp 320°F (160°C)

Six Steps To Optimizing Your Compressed Air System
Step 1: Measure the air consumption to find sources that use a lot of compressed air.
Step 2: Find and fix the leaks in your compressed air system.
Step 3: Upgrade your blowoff , cooling and drying operations using engineered compressed air products.
Step 4: Turn off the compressed air when it isn’t in use.
Step 5: Use intermediate storage of compressed air near the point of use.
Step 6: Control the air pressure at the point of use to minimize air consumption.

Sanitary Flange Line Vacs Ease Installation and Cleaning for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Systems
EXAIR’s Sanitary Flange Line Vac™ is the best way to convey material through systems which require frequent or mandatory cleaning. The ISO 2852 compatible sanitary flanges limit areas where bacteria can grow and help prevent contamination. Made from type 316 stainless steel to provide maximum hygiene and corrosion resistance, these Line Vacs are available in 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2" and 3" flange sizes. Flanged Line Vacs convert flanged piping systems into a powerful conveyor for product, parts, scrap, trim and other bulk materials. Their larger throat size makes them perfect for conveying bigger parts and large volumes of material over long distances.
